Multiobjective Optimization of a Hybrid Wind/Solar Battery Energy System in the Arctic

This paper presents an optimal design of a hybrid wind turbine/PV/battery energy system for household application using multiobjective optimization approach, namely, particle swarm (PSO). The ultimately component selection the renewable (HRES) is suggested by comprehensively investigating effects various factors on cost-reliability relation, such as mounting orientation, temperature PV modules, turbine hub height, different types batteries, and load profiles. results show feasibility HRES single-family demand in arctic region Tromsø, Norway. As we will discuss results, operating can achieve great energy-autonomous levels at reasonable cost partially thanks to cold climate. structure modules battery type significantly change performance terms reliability, while higher offers little improvement. result suggests consisting with swept area 21 m2 height 12 m, 2-axis tracking, bank 3 kWh. 98.2% self-reliance.
